mikka.is is a personal website and blog operated by an individual. This policy explains how data is collected and used.
Data Collection
What We Collect
- Server logs: IP addresses, user agents, and request timestamps are logged temporarily for security and debugging purposes
- ActivityPub federation: When you interact with this site via the Fediverse (follow, like, boost, reply), your actor information and public posts are processed
- Comments and messages: If you send a direct message or reply, that content is stored
What We Don’t Collect
- No tracking cookies or analytics scripts
- No third-party advertising
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties
ActivityPub / Fediverse
This site participates in the Fediverse via ActivityPub. When you follow an account on this site:
- Your public actor information (username, display name, avatar) is stored
- Your follow request is recorded
- Posts you interact with may reference your actor
This is standard ActivityPub federation behavior. Your data is only used to facilitate federation and is not shared beyond what the protocol requires.
Data Retention
- Server logs are rotated and deleted after 30 days
- Federation data is retained as long as the follow relationship exists
- You can request deletion of your data by unfollowing and contacting the site operator
